DEVELOPING THE STUDENT COUNCIL’S ACTIVITIES ADMINISTRATION GUIDELINES FOR SCHOOLS UNDER THE OFFICE OF SAKON NAKHON PRIMARY EDUCATIONAL SERVICE AREA 3

Abstract

         The objectives of this research article were 1) to study the current state, the desirable state, and priority needs index of the student council’s activities administration of schools under the Office of Sakon Nakhon Primary Educational Service Area 3, and 2) to develop the student council’s activities administration for schools under the Office of Sakon Nakhon Primary Educational Service Area 3.This research sample group consisted of 190 administrators and the teachers responsible for the student council’s activities. The research instruments were a questionnaire, semi-structured interview form, and the guideline suitability and possibility assessment form. The statistics used in the research were percentage, mean, standard deviation and priority needs index.

         The research results were found that; 1. The current state and the desirable state of the student council’s activities administration of schools under the Office of Sakon Nakhon Primary Educational Service Area 3 were found that; the current state overall and all aspects were at moderate levels and the desirable state overall and al aspects were at high levels, and the priority needs index of the student council’s activities administration of schools under the Office of Sakon Nakhon Primary Educational Service Area 3 sorting PNI were as follow; 1)volunteering/public awareness activities, 2) meeting skills development activities, 3)networking activities, 4) suggestion activities, and 5) leadership development activities. 2. Guidelines of student council’s activities administration guidelines for schools under the Office of Sakon Nakhon Primary Educational Service Area 3 consisted of 5 elements, 39 guidelines were as follow;  1) Leadership development activities 6 guidelines, 2)Networking activities 5 guidelines,  3) Meeting skills development activities 11 guidelines, 4)Volunteering/public awareness activities 9 guidelines, and 5) Suggestion activities 8 guidelines. The result of guidelines assessment by 5 luminaries were found that; the suitability and possibility assessed both overall were at high levels.
