POLITICAL PARTICIPATION IN THE LOCAL GOVERNMENT OF THE PEOPLE IN NAKHON RATCHASIMA PROVINCE

Abstract
The objectives of the research article were 1) to study the level of political participation in the local government of the people in Nakhon Ratchasima province, 2) to examine factors political participation in the local government of the people in Nakhon Ratchasima province. The study was quantitative research. The sample used for this research of people living in Nakhon Ratchasima Province was 400 people. Data were collected by using questionnaires. The statistics used to analyze the data were frequency, percentage, mean, deviation, and Multiple Correspondence Analysis (MCA).
The results were found; 1. the overall level of political participation in the local government organization of the people in Nakhon Ratchasima province was at a low level. 2. Majority of the people exercised their right to vote, followed by contact with government agencies in local government organizations. Factors influencing political participation in local government organizations of people in Nakhon Ratchasima province, demographic factors such as age, income, and domicile, statistically influenced political participation in local government organizations of people in Nakhon Ratchasima province at the .05 level of significance.
