The term attitude in English is from Latin, namely "Aptus" means a state of mental readiness that is to perform activities. Attitude has three components: cognitive, effective, and behavioral. In general it can be concluded that attitude is a readiness that always tends to behave or react in a certain way when faced with a problem or object. The purpose of this paper is to answer the question of what scientific attitudes are necessary for a scholar especially to write scientific material. This study uses library research. The data collected will be examined to identify the scientific attitudes required by a scholar. These findings can be used by scholars to develop a positive attitude towards themselves
