Abstract

This research article on the patterns of preventing domestic violence issues through the collaborative process of Muslim family and community involvement in Yala province, a Muslim-majority region. It is part of a study on the patterns of preventing domestic violence through the collaborative process of Muslim families and communities in Yala province, comparing them with Islamic law principles. The objectives are to study the patterns of preventing domestic violence through the collaborative process of Muslim families and communities in Yala province, examining legal measures (Thai and Islamic laws), regulations, orders, and international conventions that benefit and protect citizens in preventing family violence. Additionally, the study seeks to find approaches to prevent domestic violence in Muslim families without violating religious principles, emphasizing the collaborative process of families and communities. The study, based on the aforementioned objectives, will provide insights into the patterns of preventing domestic violence issues within families, emphasizing the collaborative involvement of both the family and the community as a fundamental approach. It addresses issues within the community by the community members themselves. The research findings indicate that the collaborative engagement of families and communities can serve as a model for resolving domestic violence problems, utilizing religious principles as a foundational current that instills responsibilities and rights awareness among family members. As family members fulfill their roles, there is a reduction in violations within the family, leading to a mutual commitment to shared practices. The research also identifies legal measures that safeguard and protect individuals who experience domestic violence, ensuring their access to justice. Even though there may be challenges in enforcing the law as suggested, it can still be considered that legal measures provide protection for victims of domestic violence. Furthermore, if the collaborative process of families and communities is combined with legal measures that protect and benefit family members in all areas, it can effectively prevent and reduce domestic violence issues. This approach can contribute to the creation of strong and warm families, fostering desirable communities and societies. Ultimately, it serves as a pathway to building individuals, communities, and societies based on justice.
