They applied a variety of community capital including social capital, biological capital and cultural capital. They lived with bountifulness and generosity, which are traditionally characteristic of local communities in general. Later, when the Community Development Department (CDD) of the Ministry of Interior initiated a project to evaluate sufficiency economy villages, they continued developing their villages using an indicator called “6x2”, designed by CDD. The indicators of 6x2 were comprised of expense reduction, income supplementation, savings, education, and environment preservation and sustainable use of natural resources, and generosity.
