บทบาทและความสำคัญของบทสวดโองการภาคใต้

บทคัดย่อ
บทความนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาบทสวดโองการในภาคใต้ ในประเด็นบทบาทและความสำคัญของบทสวดโองการภาคใต้ โดยเก็บข้อมูลบทสวดโองการจำนวน 30 โองการ แบ่งเป็นบทสวดโองการที่บันทึกในหนังสือบุด 8 โองการ ที่บันทึกสมุดฝรั่งจำนวน 19 โองการ และที่จัดพิมพ์รวมเล่ม 3 โองการ แล้วสรุปผลด้วยวิธีการพรรณนาวิเคราะห์
ผลการวิจัยสรุปว่าบทสวดโองการในภาคใต้ได้แสดงให้เห็นบทบาทและความสำคัญ 5 ด้าน ได้แก่ 1) บทบาทและความสำคัญในฐานะในการสร้างข้อตกลงร่วมกันทางสังคมที่คนในชุมชนปฏิบัติสืบทอดต่อกันมา 2) บทบาทและความสำคัญ ในฐานะเป็นเครื่องมือถ่ายทอดคติความเชื่อ โดยเฉพาะการสวดเพื่ออัญเชิญสิ่งศักดิ์สิทธิ์ทางศาสนา เทพเจ้า ครู ฤาษี 3) บทบาทและความสำคัญในฐานะเครื่องมือติดต่อกับสิ่งศักดิ์สิทธิ์ ที่เนื้อหากล่าวถึงหัวข้อธรรมของพุทธศาสนาให้มาป้องกันภัยและให้มาช่วยเหลือ 4) บทบาทและความสำคัญในฐานะเครื่องต่อสู้/ต่อรองความเชื่อดั้งเดิม ที่เนื้อหาได้ผสมผสานระหว่างพุทธศาสนากับความเชื่อดั้งเดิม โดยเฉพาะคติเกี่ยวกับพระพุทธเจ้าปราบฤทธิ์พระภูมิ และแนวคิดการบรรลุธรรม 5) บทบาทและความสำคัญในฐานะเครื่องมือสืบทอดภูมิปัญญาด้านการสวดโองการ 3 แบบ ได้แก่ การสืบทอดจากรุ่นสู่รุ่น ทั้งทางสายเลือดและมิใช่สายเลือดแต่เป็นลูกศิษย์ที่สนใจ การสืบทอดในพิธีกรรมต่าง ๆ และการสืบทอดด้วยการพิมพ์เผยแพร่ที่มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อการจัดพิมพ์มาบำรุงศาสนา
