เทคนิคการเลือกตัวอย่างและการกำหนดขนาดกลุ่มตัวอย่างในการวิจัย

บทความนี้มุ่งเสนอแนะนำแนวทางทำให้การวิจัยเกิดความเที่ยงตรงภายนอก (external validity) มีผลการวิจัยที่สามารถสรุปอ้างอิง (generalized) ไปยังประชากรสมมติฐาน (hypothetic population) ได้โดยทวนสอบ ทฤษฎีประชากร ตัวอย่าง และเทคนิคการเลือกตัวอย่างทั้งในการทำวิจัยเชิงพรรณนา(descriptive/survey research) และการทำวิจัยเชิงทดลอง (experimental research) มีวิธีทำการกำหนดขนาดกลุ่มตัวอย่างจาก 1) เกณฑ์จำนวนตัวแปรที่ศึกษา 2) เกณฑ์ค่าจำนวนตัวอย่างที่มีการแจกแจงค่าสถิติ t คล้ายคลึงกัน และ 3) ค่าระดับความมั่นใจ(confident level) และ 4) ค่าระดับความมั่นใจ(confident level) ร่วมกับเทคนิคการเลือกตัวอย่างแบบ random sampling technique และ/หรือ nonrandom sampling technique.
