Guidance Management System Model for Strengthening Digital Citizenship in Schools under Bangkok Metropolitan Control

The objectives of this research were to create a guidance management system model for strengthening Digital Citizenship in schools under Bangkok Metropolitan Control and to study level of possibility and level of suitability of the model. The management of a guidance activity to strengthen Digital Citizenship in schools under Bangkok Metropolitan Control has used 634 people as a sample group selected from school administrators and guidance teachers under Bangkok Metropolitan Control using Multi-stage Random Sampling with the size of the school as a sampling unit. Data were collected from questionnaires and semi-structured interview. Statistical tools used for analyzing data are percentage, mean, standard deviation, and content analysis.
The result has shown that the administration model of guidance activities for enhancing digital citizenship of students in schools under Bangkok Metropolis consists of 2 main parts. The first part is the administrative management of guidance activities to enhance digital citizenship, which comprises of 4 aspects: Planning, Organizing, Leading, and Monitoring. The planning aspect incorporates collaboration, defining targets, setting operating guidelines, and also budgeting and timing. The organizing aspect is about defining a responsible person. The Leading aspect consists of communication, guidance, encouragement, and facilitation. Lastly, the Monitoring aspect includes plan’s implementation, appointment of the follow-up committee, report progression, and summary of operation results. The second part of the result illustrates 3 characteristics of digital citizenship that should be adopted in schools under the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration, which are the relationship with others, the protection and safety, and the self. In sum, the guidance management system model for strengthening Digital Citizenship in Schools under Bangkok Metropolitan Control has achieved a high level of possibility (= 4.21, S.D. = 0.21), and the highest level of suitability. (= 4.59, S.D. = 0.11)
