Organizational characteristics and necessity needs of educational innovation organization administration of basic education institutions in education sandbox of Thailand

The purposes of this research were: 1) to study current situation, problem, and suggestions for educational innovation organization administration; 2) to compare educational innovation organization administration as classified by characteristics of organizations; 3) to study the current and desired situations of organization administration; and 4) to propose guidelines in developing organization administration of basic education institutions for being an educational innovation organization. The research was survey research by mixed method of quantitative and qualitative research. A questionnaire was used to collect data from 208 pilot basic educational institutions and an interview with 17 principals of pilot basic educational institutions and educational experts. Data were analysed by One-way ANOVA, descriptive statistic analysis, Modified priority need index, and content analysis.
The results showed that different administration experiences affected organization administration in academic and personnel administration at .05 level of statistically significance. PNI Modified showed the readiness in the organizational administration were as follows: 1) personnel administration (PNI Modified = 0.23), 2) academic administration (PNI Modified = 0.22), 3) general administration (PNI Modified =0 .21), and 4) budget administration (PNI Modified = 0.18), respectively. The recommendation guidelines for developing the basic education institutions to be an educational innovation organization was to increase readiness in organization administration by emphasis on academic and personnel administration.
