Important Phenomenon of the Creation of Food Regimes from 2014 – 2019

This article aims to explain the important phenomenon of the creation of food regimes from 2014 – 2019. Thailand is experiencing a food crisis due to many reasons, ranging from the problem of farmers’ access to the production factors, especially lands, resource degradation, high agricultural cost, debts, and the use of chemicals which may result in health problems, to the monopolization of the food and market system. These problems stem from the capitalist groups including the middlemen. However, the researcher considers food politics to be an important topic in the field of social science, political science, and political economy. Food acts as a relationship between states and a representative of both the private and people sector, for it plays a role in the power struggle and negotiation and benefits allocation of the government and capitalists.
