Attitudes, Anxiety and Management of TOEIC Testers in Bangkok

This research aimed to 1) study the level and compare the attitude, anxiety and anxiety management of TOEIC test takers in Bangkok. 2) study the relationship between the attitude, anxiety and anxiety management of TOEIC test takers in Bangkok. 3) Develop a guideline for preparing TOEIC test takers in Bangkok. The sample group consisted of 400 TOEIC test takers in Bangkok. The instruments used were an opinion survey with a reliability of 0.95 and an interview form on how to prepare TOEIC test takers for 9 key informants. The statistics used for analysis were mean, percentage, standard deviation, t-test, one-way analysis of variance, and Pearson's correlation analysis.
The research results found that 1) attitudes, anxiety, and anxiety management were overall at a very high level of agreement, with a mean of 3.64 and a standard deviation of 0.64. From the comparison, it was found that different ages, different majors, different number of exams, different English grade point averages, and different English learning experiences had significantly different opinions overall at a statistical level of .05. 2) The results of the correlation study found that attitude had a positive relationship with English listening test anxiety (r = 0.460, p = .000), English reading test anxiety (r = 0.380, p = .000), English listening test anxiety management (r = 0.315, p = .000), and English reading test anxiety management (r = 0.305, p = .000) with statistical significance at the .05 level.
