The Application of Law of Karma Related to Development of the Life Quality in the Postmodern Thai Society

Abstract

The objectives of this research paper were to: 1) study the concept of development of the life quality in Thai  postmodern society 2) study the concept of the Law of karma in Buddhism 3) apply the law of karma in development the life quality and society in Thai postmodern society 4) create new body of knowledge model of development of the life quality in Thai postmodern society. This research is   qualitative method through analysis, appreciation and application.

The research was found that development of life quality is necessary yet, because Thai postmodern society has come into the age of suddenly changes in the forms of information, hi-technology, materialism including consumerism. If people could not follow them, they lead to the problems. The behavior of people leads to more misconduct. If people understand the law of karma rightly, believe karma and the result of karma, then, could help them not fail to the evil, then, back to do goodness. The law of karma is cause to develop life and society through right understanding and three common characteristics in order to train and develop the body, speech, mind through self-order, firm mind and wisdom foe solving of problems and develop the body and mind together. As dictum “sound mind in sound body”.The new body of knowledge: right understanding, Applying Hi-technology, Changing of postmodern society = RUK +A-h +CPS Model Development of Life Quality and Postmodern Thai Society.
