THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN TRANSFORMATIONAL LEADERSHIP OF SCHOO ADMINISTRATORS AND SCHOOL ACADEMIC ADMINISTRATION MUEANG PATHUM THANI DISTRICT, PATHUM THANI PRIMARY EDUCATIONAL SERVICE AREA OFFICE 1

Abstract

The research on the relationship between the transformational leadership of educational administrators and the management of academic affairs in schools in Pathum Thani Primary Education Service Area Office 1, aimed to study the level of transformational leadership of school administrators, the level of academic management, and the relationship between the transformational leadership of administrators and the management of academic affairs in schools under the jurisdiction of the Pathum Thani Primary Education Service Area Office 1. The research sample consists of 226 people, including directors, deputy directors, heads of human resource management departments, and teachers affiliated with the Pathum Thani Primary Education Service Area Office 1, randomly selected from a total population of 568 individuals. The sampling method used in the research consisted of two steps. The first step involved randomly selecting 25 schools using proportionate stratified sampling based on school size, and the second step used simple random sampling to select teachers from each school size category. The research instrument used was a 5-point Likert scale questionnaire, where 5 represented the highest level, 4 a high level, 3 a moderate level, 2 a low level, and 1 the lowest level. Data were analyzed using computer software with statistics including frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, and the Pearson product-moment correlation coefficient to determine relationships. The research findings are summarized as follows.

The research found that: The overall and specific aspects of transformational leadership among school administrators in Pathum Thani Primary Education Service Area Office 1, were at a high level ( = 3.91, SD = 0.388). When considering the specific aspects, it was found that all aspects of the administrators' transformational leadership in Pathum Thani Primary Education Service Area Office 1, were at a high level. In order of significance, these include having an ideological influence ( = 3.93, SD = 0.450), followed by stimulating intellectually ( = 3.90, SD = 0.448), considering individuality ( = 3.90, SD = 0.448), and inspiring motivation ( = 3.88, SD = 0.466). The management of academic affairs in schools in Pathum Thani Primary Education Service Area Office 1, is highly regarded in terms of opinions. Upon detailed examination, all aspects are considered to be at a high level, with the rankings from highest to lowest as follows: management of teaching and learning in schools ( = 4.15, SD = 0.744), development and use of technological media for education ( = 4.15, SD = 0.744), research for educational quality improvement in schools ( = 3.97, SD = 0.635), educational supervision ( = 3.88, SD = 0.647), assessment and evaluation and the implementation of learning outcome transfers ( = 3.80, SD = 0.646), development of learning processes ( = 3.76, SD = 0.765), and curriculum development in schools ( = 3.73, SD = 0.584). The relationship between intellectual stimulation and its correlation with the management of academic affairs by school administrators in Pathum Thani Primary Education Service Area Office 1, exhibits a positive and high-level correlation (  = 0.810), with statistical significance at the .01 level.
