Guidelines of Capacity Development of Labor in the ManufacturingIndustrial Sector in Pathumthani Province

Abstract

          This research aimed to study the level of the needs for capacity development of labor in the manufacturing Industrial sector, to compare the level of the needs for capacity development of labor among different group, and to make a guideline for capacity development of labor in the manufacturing Industrial sector. The sample size was the workers in the electronic component and circuit manufacturing industry and the plastic394 workersusing proportional stratified random sampling.This research employed mixed methods.A quantitative study used a questionnaireand were analyzed through frequency distribution, percentage, mean, standard deviation, t-test, at 0.05 level of significance. In the qualitative study, the data were from 20 informants who were administrators in the human resource or human resource development division of the organizations.


          The findings were as follows: 1) the needs for capacity development of labor in the manufacturing Industrial sector were high in every aspect,2) the levels of the needs for capacity development of labor were not differed,and 3) the guideline for capacity development of labor, the majority of the studied manufacturing Industrial sector focused on developing their human resources in relation to job position. One growing trend was to conduct web-based training or E-training.
