Pattern of Communication of Football Fans in the Digital Age

The development of information technology and communication in the digital age causes the changing in communication patterns of football fans in various situations such as communication choices, communication channels, communication forms, communication behaviors, and also communication culture. The new media affects the football fan’s behaviors, that is, the traditional media receivers are as “a passive audience”, but the new media’s receivers are as “an active receiver” who can self-search for the interesting information. Moreover, the new media destroys the barriers of space and time by building a community similar to a group of football fans. This can improve the relationships of real communication among the community and also maintain the relationships among the football fans
