Quality of Work Life that Affects the Performance of Medical Personnel in Community Hospitals in Narathiwat Province

Abstract

The quality of work life is significant because it has an impact on work performance. If personnel have a high quality of life at work, it will create a positive work environment for the organization and, most significantly, increase work efficiency. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to investigate how the quality of life at work influences the performance of medical personnel at community hospitals in Narathiwat Province. The data were collected using questionnaires from 350 participants by using stratified sampling. Simple regression analysis and multiple regression analysis were employed for data analysis. According to the study, the efficiency of work performance of the personnel is influenced by the quality of work life at the overall significance level of 0.05. The research can explain the variation in the efficiency of work performance of the personnel was 54.5 %. When considering each aspect which is work-life quality related to social support, social work-life balance, democracy in the organization, and working environment that prioritizes safety and health promotion, it was found that each aspect affects the efficiency of work performance of the personnel with a significant statistical value at 0.05. The research can explain the variation in the efficiency of work performance of the personnel at 59.50 %.
