The Rule of Law in Economic Development

Abstract
The objective of this research is to analyze the relationship between the rule of law and economic development in Thailand. It also addresses how the rule of law applies to Thailand’s economic development. A methodology for doing this research relies on qualitative research. It gathers data from books, academic articles, research articles, reports, statistics, news, and National Economic and Social Development Plans.
This research found that the rule of law relates to Thailand’s economic development. This is because economic development needs and relies on regulations to accomplish the goal. The rule of law can help regulations to be enforced accurately, fairly, and effectively. Although the rule of law may not directly or fully contribute to economic development, it can create economic equality, resolve economic disputes effectively, support technological development, and protect the environment. Thus, the Thai government should apply the rule of law to economic development.
