📝Article Format
Starting with the first issue of 2025, all submissions to the Human Behavior, Development and Society (HBDS) journal must adhere to the updated manuscript guidelines. This new format is designed to ensure consistency, improve readability, and streamline the transition to layout software. Please see the HBDS template: Original Research Articles and Academic Articles
🟢 Mandatory ORCID iD for All Authors
Starting with the first issue of 2026, HBDS will require all submitting authors to provide an Open Researcher and Contributor ID (ORCID) iD.
This policy ensures that your work is correctly attributed to you, improves discoverability, and eliminates confusion caused by name similarities. ORCID iDs also streamline the submission process and help automate the link between your professional activities.
Authors who do not yet have one can register for free at: https://orcid.org/register
✍️ Author Contribution Statement Requirement
For manuscripts involving multiple authors, a detailed Author Contribution statement is now required (effective from Issue 1: January–April 2026 onward).
This section must clearly outline the specific roles and responsibilities of each individual.
Format: Use a brief statement or the CRediT (Contributor Roles Taxonomy) framework.
Placement: Include this section at the end of your manuscript, before the references.
Scope: Covers conceptualization, methodology, data collection, analysis, and writing.
These updates aim to provide proper credit to every contributor and maintain the highest standards of integrity in scholarly publishing. For guidance, please refer to:
