Political Socialization and Political Cultures Influence to Participatory Democracy : A Case Study of Sub-district Administrative Organizations in Eastern-Northeastern Area of Thailand

Abstract

This study aimed to find a casual structural model development of the political socialization, the culture, and the support of participatory
democracy of the sub-district administrative organizations, and an analysis and investigation of hypothesis and empirical evidence. Sample representatives
of this study were a total of 242 people, chosen by Simple Random
Sampling, living in the area lower-northeastern region of Thailand. Survey
questionnaires, Reliability at 0.97, were used for data collection. The
findings found in this study indicated that It was found that the developed casual
relationship was corresponding to the empirical evidence, such as Chi-Square at 60.47, Degree of Freedom 48, Significant Figure 0.107, RMSEA 0.033, GFI 0.96, AGFI 0.93, CFI 1.00, NFI 0.98, NNFI 0.99, and CN 29.5. Political socialization directly impacted the political culture and people’s participation, the statistical significance at 0.01. Lastly, the political culture directly influenced the participatory democracy, the statistical significance at 0.05; therefore, the political socialization indirectly affected the participatory democracy through the political culture, the statistical significance at 0.05.
