The indicators and criteria of the evaluation were examined for their consistency reliability, appropriateness, utility, and possibility by 34 experts using the indexes of congruence (IOCs). Statistics were used for the data analysis including mean, standard deviation, t-test, F-test and Scheffe’s test.
According to the results, the learning model of elderly for improving the quality of life which is developed in this study divided into 3 major parts: 1. Rationale, objective, and learning content of elderly; 2. Component of learning model; 3. Condition for key success and application of model. The model is comprised of 6 components: 1) Learning methods – elderly manage their own learning; 2)Learning conditions – appropriate conditions support learning process; 3) Learning contents – content and process are applied to enhance learning process; 4) Learning media – the media facilitates learning process 5) Learning activities – activities assist elderly based on their potential and needs 6) Supporting factors – elderly build knowledge which is suitable for their lives.
The findings of this study indicated that the learning behavior of elderly was increased at the significance level of 0.05. Moreover, the evaluation of model was high feasibility and in accord with the principle and theoryin terms of utility, appropriateness and possibility. The process is suitable for the local demand. As a result, the learning model could be applied to develop the quality of life for future generations.
