Model for Education Reform Promotion Based on Buddhadhamma

Abstract

The objectives of this research were; 1. To study the develop
educational personnel suitable to education reform based on Buddhadhamma, 2. To integrate Buddhadhamma in education reform, and 3. To propose a model for education reform promotion based on Buddhadhamma. The quantitative data were collected through questionnaires from 108 samples and analyzed by mean, percentage and standard deviation. The qualitative data were collected by in-depth interview with 27 key-informants and focus group discussion with 7 key-informants and then analyzed by content analysis.
The results of the study found that:
1. The development of educational personnel suitable to education reform based on Buddhadhamma was at a high level. That indicated that the
administrators understood educational administration principles, considered and judged matters with justice, set a plan in advance, scheduled school
activities appropriately, devoted time and intention to school activities, ran the work according to the annual plan, paid attention to school projects, behaved as the sample in honesty and morality, and respected the conclusion in the meeting.
2. The main Buddhadhamma principles for education reform in 3 aspects; personnel, system and environment, were shrewd, capable of administering
business and having a good credit rating in Dutiya Papanika Sutta, and the
minor Buddhadhamma principles were Tisikkha, Sangahavatthu, Brahmaviharadhamma, Iddhipada, Cakka, Kalyanamitta and Sappurisadhamma.
3. The model for education reform promotion based on Buddhadhamma
was to integrate education leadership and Buddhadhamma together in order
to reform the education system effectively. The reform education leadership
consisting of self-management, man management and work management
integrated with 3 principles in Dutiya Papanika Sutta and Tisikkha,
Sangahavatthu, Brahmaviharadhamma, Iddhipada, Cakka, Kalyanamitta and Sappurisadhamma could lead to the real reform in educational personnel, system and environment contexts.
