Implementing Isan Folk Music for Practicing Violin Performance Skill Based on Suzuki Method Concept

Abstract

The research title on Implementing Isan Folk music for practicing violin performance skill based on Suzuki method concept is an experimental research aimed to create of the violin performance practice package by implementing Isan folk music based on Suzuki method with effectiveness of 70/70 and to find out the satisfaction of the students toward the use of the designed violin performance practice package by implementing Isan folk music based on Suzuki method. The samples were 12 students at Ubon Ratchathani Rajabhat University. The research instruments comprised 1) a violin performance practice package by implementing Isan folk music, an evaluation form to find out the effectiveness of the violin performance practicing exercise by implementing Isan folk music, and 3) self-evaluation form to find out the students’ satisfaction. The statistics used for analyzing the data were percentage, mean, and standard deviation (S.D).

            The findings revealed as follows;

1. The effectiveness of the violin performance practice package with Isan folk music based on Suzuki method was 70.10/76.35 which was higher than the standard criteria of 70/70.


2. Averagely, the students’ satisfaction with the designed violin performance practice package by implementing Isan folk music based on Suzuki method was at the highest level ( =4.81, S.D.= 0.11).
