Tourism Behaviors of Sport Tourists in Buriram

Abstract
The purpose of this research was to study tourism behaviors of sport tourists in Buriram. in order to implement guidelines for tourism The purpose of this research was to study tourism behaviors of sport tourists in Buriram. in order to implement guidelines for tourism development in Buriram to match the behaviors of sport tourists. A questionnaire was used as data collection equipment. Survey questionnaires were collected from 400 Thai tourists who had travel experience in Buriram. The data were then analyzed with statistical analysis software through descriptive statistics and inferential. In case of statistical significance, Least-Significant Different (LSD)technique was used to determine the differences of any two means. The results indicated that the majority of tourists was female aged 24 years, and classified as Generation-Y (aged 15-35 years). They were company employees with an average income of 15,000 baht per month, mostly single, and held a bachelor degree. In terms of sport travelling behaviors, it was found that most of them used online social media such as Facebook, Instragram, Youtube, etc., prior to their travel in order to plan the itinerary and watch sport competitions. The average number of travelers was 2, includingthe respondent, andprivate vehicles (car/motorcycle) were used. Most of them spent 2 days for travelling and stayed at a hotel which costs around 1,000 baht per night. The average expenses were 10,000 baht each. The travel frequency is twice per year.
