Daily Teaching Model for Developing the Demonstration School Students Discipline Based on Positive Discipline Usi

Abstract

          The purposes of this research were 1)  to develop the daily teaching model for developing the demonstration school students discipline based on positive discipline using multi-approaches and 2) to study the teaching model effectiveness.  The research procedure comprised two phases as 1) studied fundamental data and developed the teaching model  and 2) 2) studied the teaching model effectiveness by using Participatory Action Research. The target group consisted of 43 grade 5 class 1 students who were studying in academic year 2017 at the demonstration school of Khon Kaen University.  The research instruments employed at the second phrase were 7 lesson plans,  the reflection form, the discipline diary and the Rubrics scores in discipline behavior form. The data were then analyzed and presented in percentages, means and standard deviation.  The quality data were obtained by content analysis.  The findings as following:

                   1)  the teaching model composing of 6 components: (1) the teaching model background (2) objectives  (3) five teaching stages with scanning and discipline problem discussion,  considering good  models,  planning the solutions together and practicing, behaving from solutions,  reflection and evaluation (4) students and teachers’ roles (5) support system (6) evaluation  2)  the students discipline behavior  in the good level were  97.67  100  100  100  100  and 95.35   percent of students passed the criteria which was higher than the expected student criterion of 80 percentage .
