Moral Ethics of Mahamakut Buddhist University Isan Campus Students

Abstract

Abstract

This research was aimed to 1) study the moral and ethics of Mahamakut Buddhist University Isan Campus students 2) study the recommendations of the moral and ethics of Mahamakut Buddhist University Isan Campus students. The studied population were the 617 regular students who enrolled in the 1^st semester, 2018 academic year. The selected sample were derived from various faculties. From the opening of the finished table, the calculation of the sample was created by Tarot Yamane (Yamane, 1967). There were together 3 faculties. The sample composed of 243 students. The statistics used in data analysis were frequency, percentage, mean, and standard deviation.

          The research was found that:

1. The result of the study on the moral and ethics of the students overall showed 7 aspects: 1) discipline 2) responsibilities 3) honesty 4) sacrifice 5) good role model 6) understanding others and 7) life understanding. From the life understanding aspect, it was overviewed as having a great deal of moral. The other aspects which had the less amounts were understanding others, honesty, life understanding, good role model, responsibilities and having discipline, respectively.
2. The result of the study of the recommendations on the moral and ethics of the students showed that: 1) the most frequency of the discipline was discipline with obeying the law 2) the most frequency of the responsibilities were having enthusiasm in responsible duties 3) the most frequency of honesty was being honest with oneself and others 4) the most frequency of sacrifice was sharing and thoughtfulness 5) the most frequency of good model role model was dressing appropriately 6) the most frequency of understanding others was accepting and listening to the most people And 7) the most frequency of life understanding was the ability to adapt oneself to the society.
