The efficiency of Sangha administrators in Sangha affairs administration in Khueang Nai district Ubonratchathani province

Abstract

The purposes of this research were 1) to study the roles of Sanghaadministrators for Sanghaaffairs administration in Khueang Nai district,Ubonratchathani provinceand, 2) to study the problems and the solutions of Sanghaaffairs administration in Khueang Nai district,Ubonratchathaniprovince, using questionnaires to collect data from 107 participants through different dimensions; governance, Buddhist study and Buddhist propagation. The data was analyzed statistically with a computer programs and the results turned out as follows:

          Taken as a whole, the role of Sangha administrator for Sangha affairs administration in Khueang Nai district,Ubonratchathani province was at a high-level. Considering each dimension, in governing dimension, the result was at a high-level (in an average was 4.18), in terms of Buddhist study and Buddhist propagation were at a high-level alike (in the average were 3.78 and 4.05 respectively).

          According to the result, the study suggested that in terms of governing dimension, the Sangha administrators had better pay a visit or had a meeting with the monks under their control in order to learn the problems and together find out the solutions. In the Buddhist study dimension, Sangha administrators should find the budget to support the Buddhist educational institutions thoroughly. And in Buddhist propagation, the Sangha administrators should have a plan or an effective dissemination strategy for the propagation of Buddhism and reached out to all groups of people in the community.
