A STUDY OF RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN LEADER BEHAVIORS AND THE ACADEMIC PERFORMANCE OF TEACHERS IN SCHOOLS UNDER ANGTHONG PRIMARY EDUCATIONAL SERVICE AREA OFFICE

Abstract

The purposes of this research were; 1) to study leadership behaviors of school administrators under the jurisdiction of Office of Angthong Primary Educational Service Area. 2) to study the academic performance of teachers in schools under the Office of Angthong Primary Educational Service Area. 3) to study the relationship between leadership behaviors of school administrators and academic performance of Teachers in educational institutions under the Office of Angthong Primary Educational Service Area. The sample group consisted of 110 school administrators under the Office of Angthong Primary Educational Service Area. The instrument used is a 5-level estimation type questionnaire with the reliability of leadership behavior equal to 0.874 and the academic performance of teachers equal to 0.972. Statistics used to analyze data are mean standard deviation and Pearson's correlation coefficient.

The results showed that; 1) the school administrators had the highest participatory leadership behavior. Followed by supportive leadership behavior and the lowest is the control leadership behavior. 2) the overall academic performance of teachers in the high level with the highest academic performance in the provision of administrative support system for the promotion and development of learners Followed by the cooperation in academic work of educational institutions regarding the technology media curriculum, educational innovation, learning resources and local wisdom and the aspect with the lowest academic performance of teachers learning management. 3) Control leadership behavior of school administrators correlated with the academic performance of teachers in a relatively low level (r = .198) with statistical significance at 0.05. Which has the highest relationship with academic performance in teacher learning management Followed by self-development and professional development.
