A study of condition, problem, and solution of the academic operations on enhancing the desired characteristics of students in schools under the Office of Phranakhon Si Ayutthaya Primary Education Service Area 1.

Abstract

The objectives of this research were; 1) to study the condition of academic operations on enhancing the desired characteristics of students in schools under the Office of Phranakhon Si Ayutthaya Primary Education Service Area 1,  2) to study the problem of academic operations on enhancing the desired characteristics of students in schools under the Office of Phranakhon Si Ayutthaya Primary Education Service Area 1, and  3) to present the solution as guideline for academic operations on enhancing the desired characteristics of students in schools under     the Office of Phranakhon Si Ayutthaya Primary Education Service Area 1. The representative sample was 115 school administrators and acting school administrators. The data collection instrument was a five-point rating scale questionnaire. The reliability of the questionnaire was 0.992. Statistics used in data analysis included frequency, percentage and standard deviation.   

Research findings:

1) For the condition of academic operations on enhancing the desired characteristics of students in schools under the Office of Phranakhon Si Ayutthaya Primary Education Service Area 1, the research found that the overall result for the operation was at a high level. When considering each aspect, the operation was at a high level for all aspects. Aspects in orders from high to low levels were the teaching and learning management and educational supervision. The aspect at a low level was the research for educational quality improvement.    

          2) For the problem of academic operations on enhancing the desired characteristics of students in schools under the Office of Phranakhon Si Ayutthaya Primary Education Service Area 1, the research found that the overall problems were at a moderate level. When considering each aspect, the problem was at a moderate level for all aspects. Aspects in orders from high to low were teaching and learning management which was equal to the research for educational quality improvement. The aspect at a low level was measurement and evaluation.    

          3) For the solution for the academic operations on enhancing the desired characteristics of students in schools under the Office of Phranakhon Si Ayutthaya Primary Education Service Area 1, according to key points they were as follows: 1) Curriculum development consisting of 8 approaches, 2) Teaching and learning management consisting of 9 approaches, 3) Educational technology development and utilization consisting of 8 approaches, 4) Learning resources development consisting of 10 approaches, 5) Educational supervision consisting of 12 approaches, 6) Research for educational quality improvement consisting of 7 approaches, and 7) Measurement and evaluation consisting of 7 approaches.
