A Study of Problems and Guidelines to Solve Problems of The ASEAN Studies Operations of Schools under Phranakhon Si Ayutthaya Primary Education Service Area Office 2

Abstract

The purposes of this research were: 1) study problems of the ASEAN studies operations; and 2) study guidelines to solve problems of the ASEAN studies operations of schools under Phranakhon Si Ayutthaya Primary Education Service Area Office 2. The research methodology covered 2 stages. Stage 1 was study problems of the ASEAN studies operations. The sample was selected from 114 school administrators. The research instrument used was a five-rating scale questionnaire with the reliability at 0.99. The statistical tools used for data analysis were mean and standard deviation. Stage 2 was study guidelines to solve problems of the ASEAN studies operations of schools. Five experts were interviewed and selected by a purposive sampling. The research instrument used was semi-structured interviews. Content analysis was used to analyze the data.  

            The results indicates that: 1) problems of the ASEAN studies operations in overall were found in a high level; and 2) guidelines to solve problems of the ASEAN studies operations of schools consisted of 5 aspects in 27 work list. They were: management revealed 6 items in the performance list: the school calls on a meeting to consider appropriate ASEAN studies projects and provided sufficient finding; learning management revealed 6 items in the performance list: the school encouraged teachers to further their skills; school activities included 5 items in the performance list: school administrators and teachers brainstormed to guidelines to conduct activities; activity relations consisted of 4 items in the performance list: the school and community work together to develop a public library to provide ASEAN studies corner; and personnel management consisted of 5 items in the performance list: the school encouraged teachers to participate in ASEAN training courses, attend activities related to ASEAN or join educational visits to other ASEAN Learning Schools.
