Abstract

The objectives of this research were to 1) study the efficiency level of supplies management, strategic administration and good governance of Rajabhat Universities in the Northeast of Thailand,2) identify factors affecting the supplies management of supplies officers of Rajabhat Universities in the Northeast of Thailand, and 3) study methods for developing supplies management. The research population was 895 administrators, division chiefs, section heads, relevant officers and supplies clerks of Rajabhat Universities in the Northeast of Thailand. The sample group consisted of 277 personnel calculated by Taro Yamane method and selected by using proportional sampling method. The statistics used for analyzing data were frequency, percentage, mean, Pearson’s Correlation and Stepwise Multiple Regression Analysis. The statistical significance difference was set at .05 level.

The research results revealed as follows:

  • Overall, the efficiency of supplies management of Rajabhat Universities in the Northeast of Thailand, on average, was at a high level. When considering each aspect, the mean scores were fair service, progressive service, continuous service, prompt service, and sufficient service respectively.
  • Regarding strategic administration in Rajabhat Universities in the Northeast of Thailand, the overall mean score was at a high level. The mean scores of each aspect were administration corresponding to strategies, strategies formulation, SWOT analysis, and strategy control and assessment respectively.
  • Overall, the good governance in Rajabhat Universities in the Northeast of Thailand was at a high level. The mean scores of each aspect were morality, transparency, rule of law, worthiness, participation, prompt service, and sufficient service respectively.
  • Strategic administration and good governance affected the supplies management of Rajabhat Universities in the Northeast of Thailand, having a positive correlation with a statistic significance at .05 level. The influence could explain changes in work efficiency of personnel at 73.60 % which indicated that the  correlation coefficient  (R2) was .736. The multiple regression equations were as follows:

               Regression equation’s raw scores

               0.306+ 0.202+ 0.154+ 0.278

               Regression equation’s standard scores

              0.276+ 0.214+ 0.186+ 0.347
