The purpose of this research was to compare the indicators of the cities with “Smart Economy”, namely the VTT Research Institute, the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), the International Telecommunications Union (ITU), the European Telecommunications Standards Institute (ETSI), as well as Singapore, New York, London, and Dubai. The study was conducted utilizing the documentary research method, which is the study and analysis of documents, research reports, academic articles, books, and publications. Online documents related to “Smart Economy” and “Smart City” development were also included in order to analyze and synthesize the contents. According to the study, it was found that the indicators could be divided into 4 areas consisting of labor conditions, entrepreneurs, economic efficiency, and the development of innovation. The indicators were a broad scope of standards representing a variety of indicators, which had been applied and used in many different cities. Therefore, for the purposes of developing “Smart Economy” cities, these indicators can be evaluated and adapted.
