The Development Of Analytical Reading Ability Of Matthayomsuksa 3 Students Using SQ4R Method And Mind Mapping Technique

The purpose of pre - experimental designs were to 1) compare analytical reading ability of Grade 9 Students before and after learning by using SQ4R method and Mind – Mapping technique. 2) investigate the opinions of Grade 9 Students towards learning by using SQ4R method and Mind – Mapping technique. Study of the entire population were 7 Grade 9 Students of Ban Muang Kae School Satuk, Buriram province in the second semester of the academic year 2021.The research instruments were lesson plans, the test of analytical reading ability, and questionnaires on student’ opinions towards learning by using SQ4R method and Mind – Mapping technique. The data were analyzed by mean, standard deviation and t-test for dependent.
The results of this research were concluded as follow, 1. Analytical reading ability of Grade 9 Students after learning by using SQ4R method and Mind – Mapping technique was significantly higher than before at the .05 level. 2. The opinions of Grade 9 Students towards learning by using SQ4R method and Mind – Mapping technique were at highest level.
