Ethical Standards for Publishing Articles in the Ganesha Journal
Roles and Responsibilities of Authors:
1. Compose articles with completeness, accuracy, and adherence to the specified format of the journal.
2. Ensure that the submitted work is original and has not been previously published or is under consideration for publication elsewhere (in any language).
3. Properly cite and reference the works of others if incorporated into the submitted article, providing accurate citations in the reference section.
4. Articles related to human research must undergo ethical review by an institutional review board (if applicable), with evidence of approval submitted along with the manuscript.
5. Certify that all information in the article does not infringe on copyrights or intellectual property rights.
6. Acknowledge that once an article is published, the journal holds copyright. Unauthorized reproduction, in whole or in part, is strictly prohibited unless expressly authorized by the editorial board of the journal.
7. Authors are required to revise their manuscripts thoroughly in accordance with the reviewers’ recommendations to ensure academic quality and standards. Failure to revise the manuscript as advised may result in rejection of the submission. However, authors may provide academic justifications for any suggested revisions they choose not to implement. The editor will review such justifications, and the editor's decision shall be final.
8. If there is a complaint regarding a violation of research ethics or publication ethics and the editorial team has considered and determined that a violation indeed occurred, the author must withdraw the article.
Roles and Responsibilities of Editors:
1. Assemble an editorial board comprising experts in the journal's specified field, disclosing their accurate affiliations on the journal's website.
2. Provide correct contact information for the journal on its website.
3. Furnish authors and peer reviewers with information regarding the manuscript submission process, including any necessary fees, in a clear manner.
4. Select, filter, and assess the quality of articles for publication based on their alignment with the journal's objectives and scope.
5. Maintain confidentiality regarding authors' and peer reviewers' information.
6. Only publish articles that have undergone a thorough peer-review process.
7. Verify and reject articles previously published elsewhere.
8. Make decisions without personal bias and with proper justification.
9. Avoid conflicts of interest that may compromise the interests of authors, peer reviewers, and the editorial board.
10. Scrutinize academic works for plagiarism rigorously, halting the evaluation process and informing the primary author in case of detected plagiarism.
11. Validate the completeness and accuracy of articles published in the journal, including providing explanations for corrections and withdrawals when necessary.
12. Ensure that published articles adhere to legal and intellectual property regulations.
13. Verify the confidentiality, fairness, lack of bias, and adherence to specified timelines in the journal's article evaluation process.
14. Manage the publication of journals in accordance with the predetermined schedule.
15. Address and rectify issues promptly when ethical violations occur in the published articles, ensuring proper and fair resolution.
Roles and Responsibilities of Peer Reviewers:
1. Maintain confidentiality and refrain from disclosing the manuscript's information to unrelated parties during the review process.
2. Decline to review a manuscript if there is a potential conflict of interest, such as being a collaborator on the project, a specialist involved in tool validation, or for other reasons that might impede the provision of unbiased recommendations.
3. Assess manuscripts within the reviewer's expertise by considering content relevance, data analysis quality, and work intensity.
4. Evaluate manuscripts based on academic principles, impartiality, lace of bias, and adherence to specified deadlines.
5. Promptly notify the editorial board if any part of the article is suspected of similarity or duplication with other works.
