Abstract
A Comparative Study of Human Resource Management Strategies During the Economic Crisis Between 4–5 Star Hotels and Boutique Hotels in Chiangmai.
This research is a comparative study of human resource management strategies during the economic crisis between 4–5 star hotels and boutique hotels in Chiangmai province. It is a qualitative research with the total population of 35 hotels. Data was collected from 11 four-five star hotels and 15 boutique hotels through in–depth structured interviews. The sample group are the general managers, the hotel managers, the human resource managers and the training managers dealivp with the 4 strategies: human resource management strategies during the economic crisis, pre–hiring and hiring strategies during the economic crisis, motivation and human resource nurturing during the economic crisis and job termination strategies during the economic crisis.
