Main Article Content
Abstract
The main objectives of the research were to compare the achievement in Thai language teaching and learning through project-based learning for Thai language students at the Faculty of Education, Uttaradit Rajabhat University; to develop Thai language teaching competency through project-based learning for these students; and to assess the students' satisfaction with the development of Thai language teaching competency through project-based learning. The sample group consisted of 31 fourth-year Thai language students at the Faculty of Education. The statistical methods used in data analysis included percentages, means (), standard deviation (S.D.), and the t-test for dependent samples.
The results were as follows: The comparison of achievement in Thai language teaching and learning through project-based learning showed significantly higher results after the lessons than before, at a statistical significance level of .05. The post-learning average score ( =25.66, S.D = 3.05) was significantly higher than the pre-learning score (
=15.10, S.D. = 1.5), with a t-value of 17.07. The students demonstrated a high level of teaching competency through project-based learning (
=4.36, S.D. = 0.53). The overall satisfaction of students towards the development of Thai language teaching competency through project-based learning was rated as high.
