Effectiveness Of Personnel Managerment In A Tire Repair Factory.

Abstract

The objectives of this research were 1) to study levels of personnel management effectiveness in a tire repair factory and 2) to compare levels of opinions from the personnel working in the tire repair factory towards the effectiveness of the personnel management based on personal factors.  The population of this study included 127 commissioned officers, non-commissioned officers, private armed forces, temporary and permanent government employees working on personnel benefits and other duties in the tire repair factory.   The research tool used to collect the data was a questionnaire. Statistics for data analysis adopted in this study consisted of means, standard deviation, F-TEST, LSD paired samples test by the statistically significant level of .05. Findings revealed that 1) the levels of personnel management effectiveness in the tire repair factory, in overall, were found in a high level. When analyzing on each aspect and ranking from the highest to the lowest means, it was showed on discipline, work performance evaluation, and personnel development. The lowest means fell on the employee retention and 2) the personnel with differences in ranks and responsibilities in personnel work showed different levels of opinions toward the effectiveness of personnel management in the factory. However, personnel with differences in sex, age, education levels, and length of time working as a government official showed no differences in levels of opinions toward the effectiveness of personnel management in the tire repair factory.
