The occupational development needs of the elderly in the Tambon SamBanDit Uthai District of Phranakhon Si Ayutthaya Province

Abstract

This research focused on the professional development needs of the elderly in Sam-Bandit sub-district of Uthai district Ayutthaya province. The questionnaires were administered to 235 respondents. The data were analyzed using frequency, percentages, mean, and standard deviation, t-test, One Way ANOVA, to determine significance level of .05. The findings of the research include the followings: 1) The current condition of the elderly showed most of The elderly in Sam-Bandit sub-district currently live with a spouse, have the government grants, and have knowledge aptitude agricultural occupation. They was needed want to pursue a future career in agriculture, and they need government help in the general financial support. Sub-district Administrative Organization (SAO) currently supports the quality of life of the elderly and provides them with living allowances. 2) The level of needs of occupational development of the elderly was reported  at the minimum level. 3) The comparison of the differences between the mean of personal factors, and the mean of level of occupational development needs of the elderly in Sam-Bandit and posttest was at 0.05.
