Measuring knowledge and attitudes towards household account the sufficiency economy philosophy

Abstract

This research aims to study the knowledge, attitude toward household accounting philosophy of sufficiency economy and to study the problems, suggestions of household accounting. The samples of this research are chief of villages and householders. Tools of this research are structure interview and questionnaires, all data were used Statistics Package for the Social Sciences program for analysis. The results of the study revealed that the knowledge of householders is in the middle level, they also have attitude about philosophy of sufficiency economy to modify the problem of the economy. Household accounting is used for planning about the saving. There are 49 percentages of householders who use household accounting and 48 percentages that did not use household accounting. The reasons of doing the household accounting are finding the revenue and expenditure in order to in develop the wealthy of the family. The reasons of not doing the household accounting are less understanding of the household accounting, less time and useless. Moreover, there are 82 percentages of householders who interesting in training about household accounting. The sample of chief of villages have knowledge about philosophy of sufficiency economy is high level of 88.66 percentages as most of the chief of villages realized that philosophy of sufficiency economy is very useful in diary life. Most of chief of villages revealed that if people in the village use household accounting will help all families in term of manage the family saving.  There are 4 of 5 chief of villages know the way of household accounting by reading books, publications, advertising and Non-formal Education organization who have trained for them before as a leader of the community.
