A Study on Problems and Solution Guidelines on Guidance Administration in Schools under Phranakhon Si Ayutthaya Primary Education Service Area Office1

Abstract

The purposes of this research were to study problems and solution  guidelines on guidance  administration in the schools under  Phranakhon  Si  Ayutthaya Primary Education Service Area Office 1.The samples consisted of 162 school administrators, 162 guidance teachers and 30 educational experts. The research tools were five rating – scaled questionnaires,two . The statistical analysis was employed in terms of percentage, mean, and standard deviation. The findings revealed as follows:1) As a whole, the problems of guidance administration were at  moderate levels. When each aspect was considered, it revealed that the problems in each aspect were at moderate levels ranking the means from the highest to the lowest levels as follows: students’ information collection, placement, information, following up and counseling services; and 2)The solution of guidelines on guidance administration in the schools consisted 5 aspects with 42 items: students’ information collection service (8 items), for example, conference of guidance board to conclude problems; information service (9 items), for example, reporting  the performance of information service, counseling service (10 items), for example, administrator’s following and evaluating; placement service (8 items), for example, assignment board for considering scholarship and following up service (7 items), for example, checking personal information of person  to put the right job on them. Regarding suitability; eighteen items were at the highest level; twenty - three items were at high level  and one item was at  moderate level. For possibility, six items were at the highest level and thirty - six  items were  at  high level.
