Factors Affecting Performance of Student Care and Support System of Advisors in Secondary Schools in Phranakhon Si Ayutthaya Province under the Secondary Educational Service Area Office 3

Abstract

This research aimed to 1) study the performance of student care and support system of advisors of secondary schools in Phranakhon Si Ayutthaya province, and 2) investigate factors affecting the performance of student care and support system of advisors of secondary schools in Phranakhon Si Ayutthaya province. The samples were 262 advisors in secondary schools in Phranakhon Si Ayutthaya province under the Secondary Educational Service Area Office 3. The research instrument was a questionnaire.  The data were analyzed by percentage, mean, standard deviation, and stepwise regression. The results indicated that : 1) As a whole, the performance of student care and support system of advisors of secondary schools in Phranakhon Si Ayutthaya province under the Secondary Educational Service Area Office 3 was at a high level for all aspects by ranking from the highest to the lowest as follows: student selection, knowing each student and transferring student.  2) There were three factors affecting the performance of student care and support system of advisors of secondary schools in Phranakhon Si Ayutthaya province at the significant level of .05: transformational leadership (Beta = .458), monitoring and evaluation (Beta = .243), and teamwork (Beta = .129). The variance of student care and support system could be explained for 69 per cent.
