The Study of the Career Adaptability, Perceived Organization Career Management and Turnover Intention of the Employees in an Industry in Samutprakan Province

Abstract

The objective of this research were 1) to study the level of perceived organizational career management and career adaptability of employees in an industry in Samutprakarn province, 2) to study the relationship between perceived organizational career management and career adaptability, and 3) to study turnover intention of employees in an industry in Samutprakarn province. The sample consisted of 280 employees in an industry in Samutprakarn province, which were obtained by using stratified sampling. The research instrument were rating scale questionnaire. The data were analyzed for percentage, mean, standard deviation and Pearson’s correlation coefficient. Results of the study showed that: 1) most of employees had a moderately high level of perceived organizational career management (gif.latex?\bar{x} =3.61, S.D=.53)  and office staff ( gif.latex?\bar{x}=3.58, S.D=.44) had lower levels of perceived organizational career management than production staff ( gif.latex?\bar{x}=3.62, S.D=.55) They had a moderately high level of career adaptability ( gif.latex?\bar{x}=4.05, S.D=.40) and office staff ( gif.latex?\bar{x}=4.06, S.D=.33) had higher levels of career adaptability than production staff ( gif.latex?\bar{x}=4.05, S.D=.42) the perceived organizational career management of employees were positively related with career adaptability (r=.35) and3) most of employees were not intended to resign (74.64 %).
