An An Analysis of the Awarded Poetries at the Poetry Competition of Rangsit University

Abstract

The research aims at studying the language usage in the Awarded poetries at the Poetry Competition of Rangsit University during 2005-2019. Especially, this is purposed to study in the following matters; usage of words and figures of speech of the poetry. This is found that the words used in the Award-Winning Verse at the Poetry Competition of Rangsit University during 2005-2019 are of various types; the compound words, the complexing words, the reduplicating words, the variety of figures of speech like simile, metaphor, metonymy, synecdoche and personification are also used in those poetries.
