Abstract

This study aimed 1) to examine the level of learning happiness among pre-service teachers in the Bachelor of Education Program (4-Year program) at Rambhai Barni Rajabhat University; and 2) to investigate the factors affecting their learning happiness. The sample comprised 310 first- to third-year pre-service teachers enrolled in the program during the 2023 academic year. The sample size was determined based on the Krejcie and Morgan table (1970, pp. 607–610). Data were collected using a questionnaire designed to assess the factors affecting students’ learning happiness. The instrument was structured as a five-point rating scale. Descriptive statistics, including mean and standard deviation, were used to analyze the data, while multiple regression analysis was employed to test the research hypotheses. The findings indicated that students’ happiness with their learning was high overall, with a mean score of 4.17 and a standard deviation of 0.64. In addition, the learner, instructor, environmental, and peer factors were found to be significantly related to students’ learning happiness at the .01 level. The multiple correlation coefficient was 0.878. The learner factor had the highest standardized coefficient (β = 0.53), followed by the peer factor (β = 0.24), the environmental factor (β = 0.16), and the instructor factor (β = 0.11). Collectively, these four factors explained 77.10% of the variance in students’ learning happiness.
