Abstract

This study employed a qualitative research design using documentary research and comparative analysis. Academic publications, research articles, research reports, and official curriculum documents from Thailand, Vietnam, and Singapore were synthesized and analyzed. The study covered the period from 2008 to 2024 and was guided by an international curriculum comparison framework. The objective was to compare the educational curricula of the three countries across six key dimensions: (1) educational philosophy, (2) curriculum objectives, (3) curriculum structure, (4) teaching methods and learning dimensions, (5) teacher development, and (6) instructional media. The findings were intended to generate recommendations for the development of Thailand’s educational curriculum. The results revealed significant differences among the three countries. Singapore demonstrated the strongest education system in the region, particularly in teacher preparation and professional development, the integration of digital technology, and curriculum flexibility. Vietnam has been undergoing a rapid transformation from a traditional education system toward a competency-based curriculum emphasizing twenty-first-century skills. Thailand, while grounded in a sound educational philosophy, continues to face challenges in translating policy into effective practice. Key issues remain in teacher development, English language proficiency, and the integration of technology into teaching and learning. These findings suggest that Thailand should strengthen curriculum implementation mechanisms, enhance teacher quality, and promote more effective use of educational technology in order to better respond to contemporary educational demands.
