Publication Ethics

Duties of Authors

  1. Manuscripts submitted to the journal must be original works that have not been previously published or submitted for publication elsewhere.
  2. All authors listed on the manuscript must have made a substantial academic contribution to the research and the preparation of the manuscript.
  3. Authors must not plagiarize the work of others. All sources used or referred to in the manuscript must be properly cited both in the text and in the reference list. In addition, the submitted manuscript must have a similarity index of no more than 25%, as determined by the CopyCatch plagiarism detection program integrated into the ThaiJO
  4. Authors must agree to transfer the copyright of the accepted manuscript to the journal prior to publication. Once the manuscript has been published in the journal, it must not be published or reproduced elsewhere without the journal's permission.
  5. Authors must prepare and format their manuscripts in accordance with the journal's author guidelines.

Duties of Reviewers

  1. Reviewers shall evaluate manuscripts objectively, fairly, and solely on the basis of academic merit, without bias or discrimination, and must have no conflict of interest with the authors.
  2. Reviewers shall complete the review process within the specified timeframe and maintain the confidentiality of all information contained in the manuscripts. Manuscript contents must not be disclosed to any unauthorized person.
  3. Reviewers shall accept assignments only when they possess the appropriate expertise and sufficient knowledge of the manuscript's subject area.
  4. Reviewers must not use any information obtained through the peer-review process for personal, professional, or financial gain.
  5. If reviewers identify plagiarism or any form of academic misconduct in a manuscript under review, they must immediately inform the Editor or recommend rejection of the manuscript.

Duties of Editors

  1. The Editor-in-Chief and Editorial Board are responsible for evaluating all submitted manuscripts to ensure that they are consistent with the journal's aims and scope and meet the required academic standards prior to publication.
  2. Editorial decisions shall be made fairly and objectively based solely on the scholarly merit of the manuscript, without discrimination regarding the authors, their affiliations, nationality, gender, ethnicity, religion, or political beliefs.
  3. The Editor-in-Chief and Editorial Board must have no conflict of interest with the authors or reviewers. They shall not use unpublished materials or information contained in submitted manuscripts for personal benefit or commercial purposes.
  4. The Editor-in-Chief and Editorial Board shall respect the independent judgments of reviewers and shall not alter reviewers' recommendations without appropriate academic justification.
  5. The Editor-in-Chief and Editorial Board shall strictly adhere to the journal's editorial policies, peer-review procedures, and publication processes.
  6. If plagiarism or any form of publication misconduct is detected, the Editor-in-Chief and Editorial Board shall promptly notify the authors and reject the manuscript.
  7. The Editor-in-Chief and Editorial Board shall maintain the confidentiality of all information relating to authors, reviewers, and submitted manuscripts and shall not disclose such information to unauthorized persons.
  8. The Editor-in-Chief and Editorial Board shall not publish manuscripts that have previously been published elsewhere.

Human Research Ethics

Research articles involving human participants must have received approval from an appropriate Research Ethics Committee (Institutional Review Board: IRB) or an equivalent ethics review committee before they will be considered for publication in the journal.
