บทความนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อนำเสนอประสบการณ์การแปลหนังสือเรื่อง “The Librarians' Book on Teaching through Games and Play” (หนังสือของบรรณารักษ์ด้านการสอนด้วยเกมและการเล่น) ซึ่งเป็นหนังสือทางด้านบรรณารักษศาสตร์ที่ให้ความรู้เกี่ยวกับการสอนการรู้สารสนเทศโดยใช้เกมและกิจกรรม ประกอบด้วยหัวข้อต่าง ๆ ได้แก่ ความรู้พื้นฐานของการแปล การขอลิขสิทธิ์เพื่อแปลหนังสือ ความสำคัญของการแปลหนังสือวิชาการ เนื้อหาโดยสังเขปของหนังสือที่แปล และปัญหาการแปลหนังสือ
