Abstract

The present study aimed to develop interpersonal skills and responsibilities using team-based learning of 49 third-year educational program students majoring in social studies. They enrolled in Cultural and Social Change course in the second semester, 2015 academic year, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Thepsatri Rajabhat University. The theoretical framework employed for the development was PAOR cycle, P (Plan) for creating a chance to work as a team, A (act) for team working, O (observe) for assessment of interpersonal skills and responsibilities and R (reflect) for reporting and analysis of the data by comparing the students’ achievement. The descriptive statistics used were frequency, mean and mode. Then, the students’ achievements were compared using cross-tabulation. The findings revealed that the overall development of the students who learned by team-based method had improved their own interpersonal skills and responsibilities (59.69%). The ability to work as a team had improved (68.70%). The different ways to work as a team had also enhanced (57.61%). Moreover, the findings were compared in accordance with the students’ achievement grades.  It showed that A-grade students had the most improvements (100%). C-grade (60.00%) and    B-grade (52.09%) students had the lowest improvements respectively.
