Abstract

This research aimed 1) to study the effectiveness of good governance implementation in Muang Prachuap Khiri Khan Municipality and 2) to investigate the relationship between the factors affecting good governance and the effectiveness of good governance. The sample were 130 Prachuap Khiri Khan Municipality officers. The instrument used was a questionnaire. The data were analyzed by using frequency, percentage, standard deviation, and multiple linear regression. The findings showed that 1) the overall factors of the effectiveness of good governance implementation in Muang Prachuap Khiri Khan Municipality was at high level. If the factors were sorted in descending order, there were ‘principles of equity’, ‘rule of law’, ‘transparency’, ‘participation’, ‘responsiveness’ and ‘value’ respectively. 2) The relationship between the factors affecting good governance and the effectiveness of good governance was positive and there was statistical significance at the level of .001. The factors consisted of ‘personnel’, ‘understanding towards the good governance principle’, ‘communication’, and ‘attitude’
