Abstract

The research aims to study the responsible behavior in the classroom of the students majoring in Early Childhood Education, and to compare their responsible behavior before and after the employment of the positive reinforcement method. The participants were the twenty-nine second year students majoring in Early Childhood Education, Faculty of Education, Thepsatri Rajabhat University who registered in the Art course for preschool teachers in the first semester of 2017 academic year. The purposive sampling was used to determine the participants. The study employed the observation technique to observe the participants’ responsible behavior before and after employing the positive reinforcement method, and the quantitative data were described using mean and standard deviation.  The results suggested that 1) the student participants’ responsible behavior after having the positive reinforcement was in the satisfactory level both in the whole picture and in the specific aspects and 2) the mean of the student participants’ responsibility level was higher after having the positive reinforcement.
