Abstract

This academic article aims to analyze and synthesize the relationship between organizational behavior and the pursuit of sustainability, structured into two main perspectives: theoretical and practical. The theoretical perspective reviews key concepts that explain sustainable behavior, including change processes that enable organizations to replace old practices with new ones, social learning that emphasizes learning through role modeling, and positive psychology that highlights intrinsic motivation and meaningful work. The practical perspective presents approaches that organizations can apply to achieve sustainability in action. These include developing sustainable leadership that serves as a role model and provides a clear vision, cultivating an organizational culture that embeds sustainability values, and promoting employee engagement through transparent communication, participatory opportunities, and appropriate rewards. The article concludes that organizational behavior is not merely about managing people to improve efficiency, but a strategic mechanism that bridges theory and practice, enabling organizations to design effective strategies, achieve lasting transformation, and extend sustainable impact to society and the environment.
